Anthony R. Rutkowski, 91, of New Cumberland, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Messiah Lifeways, Upper Allen Twp.
He retired as a chemist for the former New Cumberland Army Depot. Mr. Rutkowski was a WWII Army veteran and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Mr. Rutkowski was born on October 24, 1927, in Glen Lyon, Luzerne County. He was the widower of Ann Salamone Rutkowski.
Surviving are two nieces, Judy L. Lentz (Steve) of Emlenton and Jean L. Schaffer (Jim) of Pahrump, NV; a grandniece, Erin Lentz-McMahon (John McMahon) of Villanova; a grandnephew, Eric S. Lentz (Cassie) of Seattle, WA.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 6, 2019, in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Reverend Kyle Sahd as celebrant. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp. at 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 11.
