Mary E. (Zeiders) Flurie, 81, of Lewisberry, died on February 15, 2019, at home. Daughter of the late Mary (Negley) and George A. Zeiders, Sr., she was born in Lemoyne on April 15, 1937.
She began her teaching career in Trois Fontaine, France, and retired from the West Shore School District. She attended Millersville University, received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, and her master’s degree from Shippensburg University. She was a member of Christian Life Assembly of God, Camp Hill. She also belonged to the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees and Cumberland County Chapter of PA Association of School Retirees.
Mary was the widow of Maurice “Bud” Flurie, Jr. Surviving are her sons, Maurice E. Flurie, III, of Marysville, and Bryce A. Flurie, of Lewisberry; five grandchildren, Alexandra M. (Flurie) Fett, Maurice E Flurie, IV, Elijah J. Flurie, Jael M. Flurie and Tziporah E. Flurie; and two great-grandchildren, Greyson R. Fett & Sailor M. Fett.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry.
