Richard Wayne Bittner

Richard “Rick” Wayne Bittner, 71, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp. died Sunday, December 26th at his home.

He was a retired Civil Engineer from H. Edward Black and Associates, Harrisburg. He enjoyed his summers on the river camping and boating. In the winter, he enjoyed rooting for the Steelers, and watching his grandson play basketball.

He was born September 21, 1950 in Somerset, PA to the late Paul and Fleda (Nicholson) Bittner.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rebecca (Sarver) Bittner; son, Brett Bittner (Tammy) of Cosmopolis, WA; daughters, Mindy Bittner of Etters and Nicole Bittner of Portland, OR; brothers Robert Bittner of Gibsonia and Scott Bittner of Youngstown, OH; sister, Kay Wright of Lumberton, NC; grandson, Tim Watson of Etters; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm Thursday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 198 Old York Road, New Cumberland.
