A. Andrew Tignanelli

A. Andrew Tignanelli, 90 of Lower Allen Twp., New Cumberland, PA, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Harrisburg Hospital.
He retired as the Senior Vice President In Charge of Claims for Harleysville Insurance Company, Harleysville, PA. He was a graduate of Westminster College and the University of Baltimore School of Law; a member of the Maryland Bar and a former member of the PA Bar. Mr. Tignanelli was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran; a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and a former president of its Little Flower Club. He was an avid golfer and gardener tending to both well into his 80’s and he was a loyal supporter of the Baltimore Orioles.
Born on August 6, 1925 in Sewickley, PA, he was the son of the late James and Mary C. (Barone) Tignanelli and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Christine Tignanelli, a brother, Gerald Tignanelli, and a sister Clara Piscitelli.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 65 years, Grace Paradise Tignanelli; three sons, James A. (Norma) of Holmdel, NJ, William J. (Janet) of Perry Hall, MD, and Andrew V. (Beverly) of Reisterstown, MD; a daughter, Susan T. Weaver (Allen) of Lemoyne, PA; a sister, Dorothy Behrends of Brentwood, CA; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Christine, Andrew, Amy, Allen Jr., Mitchell, Michael and Natalie; two great grandchildren, Abigail and Charles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday in St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Michael McFadden as celebrant. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be held 5 – 7 PM Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
