Albert Hamilton Shader, Jr.

Albert Hamilton Shader, Jr., 85, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown and formerly of Highland Park, Camp Hill, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 in Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Derry Twp.

He was a retired field representative with American Sentinel Insurance Company, a US Army veteran of the Korean War era and a 1955 graduate of Gettysburg College. Al was a 60 year member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland; an Associate Member of the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown; a 50 year member of Harrisburg-Snyder Lodge 629, F&AM; Harrisburg Consistory; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest 43, Harrisburg; Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg and it’s Legion of Honor and Luncheon Club; Cumberland County Shrine Club; Elizabethtown-Masonic Village Shrine Club; and Phi Delta Theda Social Fraternity.

Al was born in Harrisburg to the late A. Hamilton and Mary (Nusbeidle) Shader.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lura S. (Szerafinski) Shader; daughters, Donna L. Kreiser (Karl) of Columbia and Denise A. Keefer (Daniel) of Hershey; four grandchildren, Julia Isherwood, Matthew Kreiser, Patricia Keefer and Will Kreiser; and a great grandson Jax Kreiser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 in Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, 228 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Dr. Edwin “Win” Green, his pastor officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11 am Friday in the church. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
