Aldo Bernard Camacci, 88, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, at home with family. He was born on September 9th, 1933, in Hershey, the son of the late Natale and Elisa (Pelaterri) Camacci.
Aldo was a Korean War era, US Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Albany (CA-123), and was a member of their association. He was a retired Letter Carrier with 30 years of service. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, and a member of the Hershey and Steelton Italian Lodges. He was a member of VFW Post 7530 of Lower Allen, and American Legion Post 143 of New Cumberland.
Aldo enjoyed watching sports, cruising on cruise ships, and Polka music.
Aldo is survived by his sons, Aldo G. Camacci (Alice) of Hummelstown, and Anthony Camacci (Anne) of Harrisburg, and his daughters, Mary Ann Ziegler and Francine Francisco of Harrisburg, and Susan Camacci of Columbia, MD. He is also survived by his sister, Julia Wise, and brother, Peter Camacci, both of Hershey. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 15th, 2021, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A public visitation will take place one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Immediately following the service, a procession will travel to Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
