Allen William Peffer

Allen W. Peffer, 74, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away on November 13, 2024 at home. He was born December 19, 1949 in Lewisberry, PA to the late Albert Peffer and Florence (Shaub) Kilpatrick. He was a hard and dedicated worker, as the owner of AW Peffer Trucking for over 30 years. Yet, beyond his professional endeavors, Allen's true passion lay in his family. He adored his wife, Dawn, and cherished his two daughters, along with his five beloved grandchildren. Allen found joy in simple pleasures, from cruising the Caribbean and playing cards to sipping on a bourbon and Diet Coke. Some might say he was a handyman of sorts, although his projects never really turned out as expected. He loved to watch wildlife and loved watching Christmas movies, all year round. 

Allen is survived by his wife, Dawn (Petre) Peffer; two daughters, Stacey (Ken) Bair and Mindy (Andrew Jackson) Peffer; five grandchildren, Benjamin and Christopher Bair, Bailey Dolbin, and Adaline and Aden Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 3 PM at Parthemore Funeral Home. Reverend Jennifer Richards will officiate. Honoring Allen's love for animals, a donation is requested to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111 in lieu of flowers.
