Alma J. Lenker, 74, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of New Cumberland died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her home.
She was a retired Registered Nurse from Holy Spirit Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisberry where she had served on council and as a youth leader. She enjoyed flowers, travel, shopping, her pets, and especially spending time with her family.
She was born October 22, 1942 in Johnstown to the late Vincent Holland (Betty) and Mary Louise (Zobel) McConnell. Her stepbrothers, John Zobel and John Holland, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Jack A. Lenker, Sr. of Mechanicsburg; four children, Jack A. Lenker, Jr. (Linda) of Blaine, Lisa Dishong (Rick) of Harrisburg, Wendy Lenker-Badorf (Dean) of Camp Hill, Christopher Lenker (Kim) of Mechanicsburg; siblings, Clara Brown, Pamela Cooper, Suzanne Decker, and Robert Holland; fifteen grandchildren, Bethany, Kristen, Jessica, Joshua, Howard, Richard, Cody, BJ, Stanley, Tyler, Lauren, Lance, Logan, Jason, and Allison; and six great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 863 Lewisberry Road, Lewisberry, PA 17339. Please join us for a visitation and light refreshments immediately following the service.
