Alta “Sis” Clara Hendricks, 87, of Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg died Friday, February 10, 2017 at her residence.
She retired from the Flight Standards Division of the FAA. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, serving on church council and several committees; Friends of Peace Church; American Business Women’s Association organizing and presenting at their meetings; and the Red Cross, traveling to disaster areas around the world. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed travelling throughout Europe and Mexico. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society.
She was born April 8, 1929 in Shamokin to the late Harry and Violet (Shipe) Hendricks.
She is survived by a brother, Harry C. Hendricks of Renton, WA; and several nieces and nephews; Christine Bennett of Hurricane, UT, Paul Hendricks of Federal Way, WA, Shari Wallace of Seattle, WA, Kathy Cook of Tacoma Washington, Doyle Hendricks of Bethany Beach, DE, and many great nephews and great nieces
Visitation will be from 10am until memorial services at 11am Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery, Trevorton.
