Alvin L. "Bussie" Miller

Alvin L. “Bussie” Miller, 91, of Chapel Pointe at Carlisle died peacefully in his sleep, January 2, 2021 at Chapel Pointe.

A 1947 graduate of the former Lemoyne High School, he was a retired Building Materials Consultant from the former Otto & Hollinger Lumber Yard. He was a lifetime member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lemoyne. He enjoyed spending summers at his cabin in Perry County fishing and entertaining family.

He was born July 9, 1929 in Mechanicsburg to the late William Henry and Stella Irene (Arnold) Miller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary; siblings, Henry and Robert Miller, Arlene Gift, and Carolyn Boldosser.

He is survived by his children, Stephen E. Miller of Mechanicsburg, Patricia I. Wilson (Warren) of New Cumberland, and Pamela Suter of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 10am until 10:50am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

For the visitation at the funeral home, please remember that in order to adhere to state mandates, only 25 individuals will be permitted to be in the chapel at one time, so guests will be encouraged to pay their respects to the family, view, and proceed out of the funeral home in a timely fashion in order to allow all who wish to attend an opportunity to do so. Proper mask wearing and social distancing is required.

Private funeral services will follow at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery.
