Angela Dixon

Angela Dixon, 63, of Newberry Twp., died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

She retired as a Home Health Aide for Bayada Nurse, Harrisburg. Angela loved dressing up, having tea parties, and spending time with her grandchildren. Diagnosed with cancer two years ago, Angela faced this journey the same way she faced everything else, and that is with fight. She never let cancer take her joy of life or her spunkiness. With each chemo treatment she wore vintage dresses and hats and always had a smile on her face. She refused to let cancer define her or defeat her. She loved “I love Lucy, her favorite flowers were “Black Eyed Susies” and “Gerber Daisey’s”. Angela enjoyed listening to old school salsa music and she was an excellent dancer. She loved to teach others how to dance at family gatherings. She loved to play music at home and play it even louder in her car.

Born on March 18, 1959, in Manhattan, New York City, she was the daughter of the late Angel and Delia (Madera) Cintron. She was the widow of Antonio Dixon.

Surviving are her sons and daughters, Giovanie Ortiz and wife Jessica of Tamarac, FL, Celis M. Dillard and husband Ryan of Harrisburg, Marla E. Newsome and husband Chris of Dublin, GA, Antonio Dixon Jr. and Fiancé Sarina Zeigler of (York Haven Pennsylvania); seven grandchildren, Anjoelis, Nicholas, Christopher, Ryalee, Brennan, Logan and Brayson; her best friend, Adelaida Velez of Long Island, NY; many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
