Anita Kay Smith

March 20, 1953 — April 10, 2023

Anita Kay Smith, 70, of Dauphin, and formerly of Denver, CO, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 in her residence with her husband at her side.


She was a retired Social Worker having served Excelsior Youth Center, Aurora, CO; the YWCA, Harrisburg, PA; and more recently, Discovery House, Harrisburg and Cumberland County Children and Youth Services.


Anita was a graduate of Campion Academy, Loveland, CO, and Pacific Union College, Angwin, CA. She was a member of Capital Area Seventh Day Adventist Church, Mechanicsburg, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafting of all kinds. She was a very diligent Bible student and loved Jesus more than anything or anyone.


Anita was born in Boulder, CO, the daughter of the late Homer and Freida (Reigle) Wyman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a fraternal twin sister, Annette Parrish.


She is survived by her loving husband of more than 30 years, Edward M. Smith; niece, Lindsay Krupa; great-niece, Gabi; brother-in-law, Larry Parrish; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.


Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
