Annabelle Hetes, 82, of Wormleysburg, died unexpectedly Sunday October 29, 2017, at her home.
Annabelle spent her life I️ caring for her family and many others with whom she worked and came in contact with during her many vocations. She spent her early years as a restaurant owner operator; a Hostess at the Penn Harris Motor Inn; a home childcare provider; a part-time cashier at Karns, and for the past 25 years as an employee at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, from which she recently retired. She loved working in her yard, crocheting and watching baseball.
Born on April 27, 1935 in Grovania, Annabelle was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Hilda M. (Dressler) Sheaffer. She was the widow of Daniel P. Hetes. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Sheaffer, and her sister Ruby Lighty.
Surviving are a son, Rodney L. Troutman of Bakersfield, CA; two daughters, Rebecca L. Troutman of Dillsburg and Jenniene S. Domenico (Jeremy R.) of Harrisburg; three brothers, John Sheaffer of Daytona Beach, FL, Michael Sheaffer of Lummi Island, WA, and Raymond Sheaffer of Liverpool; a sister, Ursa Hanford of Hershey; six grandchildren; David, Christy, Kristopher, Crystal, Crista and Ashley, and several great grandchildren.
