Arnaldo "Lino" Gesualdo

June 12, 1946 — August 6, 2024

Harrisburg, PA

Arnaldo Antonio Carlo Gesualdo, 78, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Italy, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, with his family by his side. Known as “Lino” by those closest to him, he was the youngest of nine children, born on June 12, 1946, to the late Alberto and Ida (Perli) Gesualdo.

Growing up in Monte di Procida, a small comune in Naples, Italy, he would finish school and work on the gulf as a dockworker. He met his future wife while she was working at her mother’s clothing shop, and over the next 55 years, the two would build a life together. Once married, they would have two children and start their own business—a pizza shop in their hometown.

When their son moved to America, starting a pizza shop of his own, Lino and Emilia followed. For the past 20 years, they would own and operate Brother’s Pizza in New Cumberland as a family. The Fairview Township business brought authentic Italian food to the community, and for much of that time, Lino happily assumed the role of deliveryman. He was a wonderful cook, loved watching soccer, and he certainly loved to eat. More than anything, Lino valued his family and the time spent with them. He particularly enjoyed driving his granddaughter to school each morning, creating a special bond between them. His big smile and positive outlook on life, along with the love he had for his family, will be greatly missed.

Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Emilia Gesualdo; his children, Elena Gesualdo (husband, Pasquale Gaudiero) of Italy and Alberto Gesualdo of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Angelo and Andrea Guadiero, and Mya Phillips-Gesualdo; and two sisters and a brother.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to offset funeral expenses. Payment may be sent (and made payable) to: Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1303 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
