Barbara Ann Payne

Barbara Ann Payne, 61, of New Cumberland, entered into eternal life on March 7, 2017, at home with her loving husband at her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 27, 1955, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Helen K. (Domin) Nese of Hummelstown and the late Leo A. Nese.
Barbara was a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Harrisburg Area Community College and Penn State University. She retired from the Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Revenue. Barbara was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, where she served as a volunteer in the Parish Office and also served on the Mercy Services Committee. She loved gardening, shopping and most of all, playing with her dog.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband and best friend of over 26 years, Michael J. Payne; her favorite furry friend, Kingston; a brother, Richard Nese of Harrisburg; two nephews and a niece. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her furry friends, Bandit, Scooter and Skippy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Samuel Dubois as Celebrant. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will be held 9:30 – 10:30 AM Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
