Barbara A. Buchter, 85, of Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp., and formerly of New Cumberland, died Monday, July 3, 2023, at her residence.
She retired as a Business Computer Teacher in Upper Dauphin; a former owner/operator of Colonial Beverage, Colonial Park from 1965 – 1987; a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, New Cumberland; a former member of the National Educational Assn., Pa State Educational Assn., Upper Dauphin Educational Assn., Harrisburg Ballroom Dance Club, and West Shore Elks Lodge #2257, Camp Hill.
Born in Reading on March 9, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Adam S. and Bertha F. (Liss) Obudzinski. She was the widow of Harold R. Buchter.
Surviving are a daughter and a son, Donna L. Lenhart and husband, George S. of Fairfax, VA, and a son, Bradley S. Buchter and wife Shelly of Hickory, NC; two grandchildren, Ashley and Bradley, Jr.; a great grandson, Ridgely; a brother, John A. Obudzinski of Prescott, AZ; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, August 7, 2023, in St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Jonathan P. Sawicki as Celebrant. Burial will be 2:15 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Reading.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully requested to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland, PA 17070, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
