Barbara Ellen Woodruff, 73, of Lewisberry, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 in Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, East Pennsboro Twp. with her loving family at her side.
She was a retired manager with Xerox Corporation in Camp Hill, as well as a member of and active volunteer with her church, St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland. She was a past President for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA; an avid reader and traveler; enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords; and loved Sea Isle City, NJ. More than anything, her family and especially “Grammy’s” grandchildren, meant everything to her.
Barbara was born in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Nulty) Keister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two of her sisters, Edna Keister and Ruth Noggle.
She is survived by her husband of more than 54 years, Richard “Woody” Woodruff, Sr.; children, Richard A. Woodruff, II and wife Sharon of Mechanicsburg, Jennifer A. Steward and husband Matt of York; siblings, Linda Bentz of Lancaster, Edward Keister of Enola and Michael Keister of New Cumberland; and seven grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel and Rebecca Woodruff and Mason, Luke, Rachel and Lauren Steward.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm on Thursday, June 9, 2022 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA 17070. Visitation with the family and a luncheon will immediately follow Mass in the church’s Little Flower Social Hall, directly adjacent to the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Barbara’s memory to St. Theresa Catholic Church at the address above.
