Barbara K. Smith

Barbara K. Smith, 67, of New Cumberland died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her home.

A graduate of West Perry Senior High School, she started her career with the Commonwealth of PA, spending the majority of her career with the Department of Environmental Protection. She loved going to the beach; NASCAR races (an avid Jeff Gordon fan); and reading mystery novels. After her retirement she became an active member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7415 and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 143, both of New Cumberland. She enjoyed her volunteer time with both organizations.

She was born December 1, 1951 in Carlisle to the late Dale B. and Helen R. (Kitner) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Grace E. Stoner and brother, Roy D. Smith.

She is survived by several cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm Friday, May 17th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
