Barbara S. Hoffsommer

Barbara S. Hoffsommer, 82, of New Cumberland, died Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Hampden Medical Center, Enola.

She retired as a Service Representative for the Social Security Administration in the Harrisburg office; was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland; volunteered at many places including the Cleve J. Fredricksen Library, Camp Hill; and was a long-time summer resident of Mt. Gretna.

A lifelong resident of greater Harrisburg, she attended Bishop McDevitt High School. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven M. Hoffsommer and two sisters, Anna Saul and Mary Davenport.

Surviving are her husband Jon R. Hoffsommer; son, Mark R. Hoffsommer; a sister, Helen Richley of Asheville, NC, and brother, Joseph of Myerstown; as well as several nieces and nephews.
