Barry D. Coder, 80, of Lewisberry, PA passed away on October 10, 2024. He was born on January 17, 1944 in Harrisburg to the late Daniel Lane Coder, Jr. and Doris Belle (Nace) Bowers. He graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and then proudly served his country in the United States Navy before starting his career as a tool and die maker at Dupont. He was a member of the New Cumberland VFW and Legion and enjoyed cooking and reading. 


He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle (Eppley) Coder; three daughters, Terri Coder, Shelley (Bryan) Massey, and Abby (Horace) White; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Vugrinec; and a brother, Eddie Bowers, Jr. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a brother-in-law, Steve Vugrinec.


A visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Parthemore Funeral Home from 11 AM - 12 PM with a funeral to follow immediately at 12 PM. Burial will take place a Emanuel Cemetery, Pastor Darrell Schrade will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the New Cumberland VFW, 109 Third Street, New Cumberland, Pennsylvania 17070. Services have been entrusted to Parthemore Funeral Home.
