Barry W. Lambert

Barry W. Lambert, 71, formerly of New Cumberland, died Monday, September 4, 2023, at Country Meadows of West Shore, Hampden Twp.

Barry retired after a full career at PennDot where he worked at several positions within the IT Department. He was widely known as a “Go to Guy” who got things done. He enjoyed weekly breakfasts with other DOT retirees.

Barry was a lifetime member of the William Penn Social Assn. where he volunteered his time as treasurer many years ago. He enjoyed NASCAR and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Born on April 17, 1952, he was the son of Donald W. and Evelyn G. (Shaffer) Lambert. He was also preceded in death by his brother David Lambert, stepmother, Martha Lambert, and his stepbrother, Arthur Duppstadt.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Cary and Charlene Lambert of West Grove, PA,  his sister and her husband, Penny and Keith Scheib of Pageland, SC; two stepbrothers, Dan Duppstadt of Chandler, AZ, and Dale Duppstadt of Delaware and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Monday, September 25 at the chapel at Country Meadows of West Shore, 4905 E. Trindle Road, Mechanicsburg, Bldg 5 with Pastor Don Kelly officiating.  A private burial will be held in Somerset County Memorial Park, Somerset, PA.
