Beatrice M. (Keane) Plesic, 89, of Manor Care Health Services, Camp Hill, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
Bea was born May 29, 1930 in Harrisburg to the late Edward G. and Mildred (Hilton) Keane. She was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School. Upon graduation, Bea was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. After marriage to her high school sweetheart, John, Bea became a dedicated and loving mother and homemaker. She was admired by many for her gardening, cooking and baking. Bea was Mrs. Eastern Pennsylvania in 1955 and had been an active volunteer for Holy Spirit Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Plesic, brothers, Edward and Richard Keane, and daughters, Elizabeth Bartlett and Janet Plesic.
She is survived by her daughter Mary F. Sauers (Frederick) of Mechanicsburg; son, John E. Plesic (Linda) of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Lauren Metzger (David), Sarah Werner (Marc), Joe Plesic, and Theresa Sauers; three great-granddaughters, Natalie and Audrey Metzger and Hannah Werner; and a brother Michael Keane (Marian).
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 beginning at 9:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. Committal services will be held at 1:45pm Tuesday at Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Twp.
The family would like to thank Manor Care and Heartland Hospice for the excellent care provided to Bea.
