Bernadette Anne Roeder

Bernadette Anne Roeder, 75, of Mechanicsburg, previously of Harrisburg, State College, and New Cumberland died Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, a Service of Hospice of Central PA.

A graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, she retired from the former New Cumberland Army and Mechanicsburg Navy Depots. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg; Irish Setter Club of America; and Old English Sheepdog Club of America. She was a volunteer at the Harrisburg Humane Society for many years and served on the Board of Directors.

She was born January 20, 1945 in Harrisburg to the late Frank and Marguerite (Sockoloski) Mahek. She was the widow of Paul S. Roeder.

She is survived by her son, Douglas R. Roeder (Dina) of Harrisburg; brother, Joseph Mahek (Patricia) of Kennett Square; sisters, Mary E. Tracey of Santa Clarita, CA and Geri Ensminger (Carl) of Dunedin, FL.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery.
