Betty E. Finnen, 85, of New Cumberland,passed away onFriday, February 15, 2013 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.Betty was well loved by her family and many friends, and she will bemissed by everyone.
She was a retired Administrative Assistant for both the West Shore School District and the PA Bankers Association. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church inHighland Park,the Riverview Golf Club Ladies League and the Dingeldeins Saturday Morning Breakfast Club. Betty enjoyed golfing, playing cards, reading, cooking, and feeding the birds and squirrels.
Betty was born in Harrisburg to the late Raymond and Nettie (Stahler) Beaver.
She is survived by her husband of more than 65 years, James E. Finnen; a son James E., Jr. of Harrisburg; a daughter Peggy Belcastro and husband Joseph of New Cumberland; a brother W. Thomas Beaver and wife JoAnn of Little River, SC; and two grandsons, Clifford Stevens and wife Veruschka and Dustin Malesich and fiance Julia.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, February 23, 2013 in Parthemore Funeral Home Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully requested to either Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1610 Carlisle Rd. Camp Hill, PA 17011 or to Bethesda Mission, PO Box 3041, 2001 North Front Street Harrisburg, PA 17102.
