Betty J. Snyder

Betty J. Snyder, 78, of Hampden Twp., Mechanicsburg, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Middlesex Twp., surrounded by her family.
She retired as a daycare operator; a founding member and volunteer of the Hampden Ambulance Assn.; a former member of the Hampden Civic Club. Born on August 24th, 1936, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Leona J. (Farver) Wolfe. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Snyder Jr., a granddaughter, Jesse M. Callahan, a sister, Donna L. Torok, and a step sister, Kathy Piccolo.
Surviving are her husband of sixty years, Charles E. Snyder Sr.; five daughters, Nancy L. Snyder (James Jordan) of West Roxbury, MA, Deb S. Callahan of Carlisle, Linda M. Wright (Michael) of Carlisle, Lori A. Grim (Steve) of Glenmore, and Judy A. Rabedeau (Kenneth) of New Cumberland; her stepmother, Marian Wolfe of Harrisburg; her step brother, Donald Brubaker of Harrisburg; her step sister, Marian Rhone of Ohio; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Visitation will be held 5 – 7 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
