Betty (Nana) Arlene Pyle, 98 died peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 with family by her side.

 

She was born on September 30, 1924, to the late Jesse James and Mary L. Loper of Marysville, PA. Betty was the loving wife of the late, Bernard G. Pyle.

 

Betty worked at the Middletown Army Depot, Hillside Elementary School cafeteria, and John Wanamakers in Harrisburg. Betty was a dedicated mother, Nana, and Great-Nana. She loved hard and wanted everyone to know it. She spent many of her years enjoying bus trips with the ladies, biscuit breakfasts from Hardee’s, visiting Somerset to stay with family, crocheting blankets for family, completing word searches, reading, cooking up her dinner specialties, spending countless hours watching her daily Soap Operas, and her beloved Steelers .

 

Betty is preceded in death by several brother and sister in laws who were close to her heart.

 

She Is survived by a daughter, Judith Rader (Robert) of Mechanicsburg; two sons, Dennis (Susan) of Camp Hill, & Steven (Robin) of Etters. Betty, “Nana” has 8 grandchildren-Kirk Rader, Danielle Dunn, Rachael Young, Dustin Rader, Chad Pyle, Erin Rogers, Matthew Pyle, & Megan Keen, and 16 great-grandchildren.

 

The family would like to thank CSNR RN manager; Ashely and Heartland Hospice-Kay & Tammy for their love and support.

 

Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm Wednesday, September 13th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
