Bill George Kinney

Bill George Kinney, 87, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of New Cumberland died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at VIBRALife, Mechanicsburg.

An Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, Bill retired from IBM and enjoyed working at Harrisburg Auto Auction in retirement. He was a graduate of the former Lemoyne High School in 1948, and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Bill enjoyed hunting and was an avid sports fan. He loved playing golf, bowling and was a competitive game player who was known to “hate a draggy game”.

He was born November 26, 1930 in Shenandoah, IA to the late Francis and Hazel (Hahn) Kinney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jane (Young) Kinney; a sister, Anita VonBergen; and brother, Samuel Kinney.

He is survived by two sons, Scott (Cheryl) of Mechanicsburg and Brett (Darva) of New Cumberland; four greatly loved grandchildren, Nathan (Hillary), Brian (Marisa), Alyssa and Erika Kinney; two great-granddaughters, Addison and Hadley Kinney; and nephew, Steve Attig (Sue).

Visitation will start at 10am and funeral service at 11am on Saturday, July 21st , 2018 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 201 W Main St, Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
