Billie June Atkinson-Ort, 57, of Newberry Twp., Etters, passed peacefully Monday, January 6, 2019 at Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center.
For the past 30 years, she was a preschool teacher, founder and the co-owner of Laugh N Learn Childcare Center in Etters. She loved her Laugh N Learn kiddos, with a joy and passion beyond measure. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. She had a fierce love for her children; there is nothing that she would not do for her family. Her second home was Fenwick Island, DE or anywhere she could put her toes in the sand. Billie would not want any of us to dwell in sorrow but to remember her for the strong, loving and beautiful soul that she was.
Born on February 9th, 1962 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Phyllis J. (Anthony) Atkinson. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her loving husband of 39 and 1/2 years, Clayton B. Ort Jr.; sons and daughters, Clayton B. Ort III (Brianna Trout) of Marysville, Jessica R. Ort of Etters, Rebecca E. Ort (Bryan Hartpence) of Etters, Katherine M. J. Ort (Seth Goodyear) of Etters, Emily A. E. Ort (Dayton Kerns) of Etters, Christian E. A. Ort of Etters, Jocelyn A. G. Ort (Shayne Reed) of Etters, and Quinn M. A. Ort of Etters; a brother, Mark R. Atkinson (Terry) of Syracuse, NY; a dear life-long soul-mate, Kim Starks- Dudenbostel (Scott) of Ocean Springs, MS; four grandchildren, Lucian, Jovan, Abigail and Emma.
