Bonnie Lee (Daniels) Bowers

Bonnie Lee (Daniels) Bowers, 74, of New Cumberland, passed away on her birthday, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Carolyn’s House, a service of Hospice of Central PA.

She was a retired secretary with Broadspire Insurance, Mechanicsburg and a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill. Bonnie was instrumental in strengthening the consequences for child abuse involving shaken baby syndrome in PA and along with her family created the Miranda Joy Foundation. Additionally, she was a Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan.

Bonnie was born in Sayre, PA to Luci “Mimi” (Dunbar) Daniels of Mechanicsburg and the late William Daniels. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Gary Daniels and her sister Nancy Daniels.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband of 16 years, Daniel E. Bowers; her children, Amy L. Raymond of New Cumberland, Beth A. Davis and husband Tom of New Cumberland and Brad A. Ort and wife Angi of Middletown; and two grandchildren, Matt D. Popovits and Emily L. Raymond.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
