Calvin L. Shank, 87, of Enola died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Manor Care, Camp Hill.
A WWII and Korea Navy Veteran, he was a retired tanker driver from the former AMOCO Oil Company. He was a member of American Legion Post 751, Enola, VFW Posts 7415, New Cumberland and 7530, Lower Allen Twp., and Enola Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid golfer and asked that his obituary state “The Old Buick Wore Out.”
He was born April 7, 1927 in Steelton to the late Harvey Calvin and Pauline (Fornwalt) Shank. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Arlene Shank.
He is survived by his companion of twenty years, Fay L. Potteiger; daughter, Karen Rolko (Michael) of Enola; two granddaughters, Michelle Rolko and Kristin Panagakis both of Enola; and three great-granddaughters, Jordan, Sophia, and Chloe.
Viewing will be from 10am until funeral services at 11am Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Heartland Hospice, 1200 Walnut Bottom Rd., Ste. 302, Carlisle, PA 17015.
