Candy McDaniel

Merry "Candy" McDaniel, 79, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on September 20, 2023. She was born on August 10, 1944, in California and then grew up in Texas.

Candy was a talented artist, specializing in painting and stained glass. She also had a passion for collecting Scherenschnitte, a form of paper cutting art. She showcased her talent as a tap dancer with Vicki's Tap Pups and was actively involved in the local theater community as an actor, director and set designer. Most recently, she was a valued member of the Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg and Oyster Mill Playhouse.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Candy was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind her loving husband, Michael Waters; her sons, David Shenk and Daniel Shenk (wife, Rebecca); a stepdaughter, Angelique Waters; grandson, Alex Bagshaw; and two brothers, Clayton Alred and Dennis McMillan (and their spouses); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Candy will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her vibrant personality, artistic talents, and dedication to her loved ones left a lasting impact on those around her.

A memorial service to celebrate Candy's life will be held at 11:30AM on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1303 Bridge Street, New Cumberland. Immediately following the service, the family will host a reception at VFW Post 7415, 109 3rd Street, New Cumberland.
