Carl D. Wolf, Sr.

Carl D. Wolf, Sr., 61, of Mechanicsburg died on Thursday, August 31, 2017 surrounded by family at his home after a courageous fight against Glioblastoma.

He was the son of the late Richard Wolf and Eleanor Wolf.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Cheryl (Blizzard) Wolf; the children he adored, Catherine M. McGrath (John) and Carl David Wolf, Jr. (Megan); brothers, Richard and Eric Wolf.

He was a graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School and Millersville State College. Working in the insurance industry for 35 years, he was a Senior Field Insurance Claims Specialist for Cincinnati Insurance. He was a member of the Central PA Claims Association and attended Grantham Brethren in Christ Church. As an avid long distance runner, he was a prominent member of his high school and college Cross Country teams. He continued to run throughout his lifetime and took pleasure in the sport with his family as they competed in various races, including half marathons. He enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States with Cheryl and their two dogs, Mac and Molly. Carl loved getting to know others; he always made it a point to address everyone he met by their first name. His contagious smile and big heart encouraged everyone to be a better person. Carl was a true obedient servant of the Lord.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm Sunday, September 10th at Grantham Brethren in Christ Church, 421 Grantham Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church.
