Carl J. Sheaffer

Carl J. Sheaffer, 27, of Lancaster, and formerly of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Saturday, June 24, 2017.

He was an amazing young man with a huge heart and a smile just as big. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and boyfriend. He loved sports of all types, especially football, baseball, rugby, and most recently, disc golf.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1989, in Harrisburg, the son of Patty A. (Linn) Sheaffer of Mechanicsburg and the late Gary J. Sheaffer. Carl was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl E. and Ruth Ann Sheaffer.

In addition to his mother, surviving are his brother and his wife, Ryan M. and Jessica H. and their children, Lennon and Monroe, of Mechanicsburg; his girlfriend, Devon T. Campbell of Dover; and his maternal grandparents, Melvin E. and Patricia A. Linn of New Cumberland.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, at Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 3555 Lewisberry Rd, York Haven.

The viewing will begin at 4:00 followed by the service at 6:00. Afterwards, there will be a time for fellowship and sharing in the church’s activity center.
