Carol J. Bailey, 85, of Camp Hill, passed away on February 15, 2025, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Eva (Gordner) Green, born on September 3, 1939, in Williamsport.
Carol was a long-time employee with Bethlehem Steel, having spent more than 15 years as a fabricator in the Steelton plant. She was independent, strong-willed, and very giving throughout her life. Along with gardening, trips to the beach were one of her favorite pastimes, and she was a lover of animals, especially cats. She was currently residing at the Woods at Cedar Run, Camp Hill, where she shared an apartment with her feline companion, Socks.
Surviving Carol is her daughter, Pat Deguzman (Daniel) of New Cumberland; her son, Ken Bennett (Lois) of Pottstown; grandchildren, Bryan Deguzman of Harrisburg, Kelly Houck (Dan) of Elma, WA, and Justin Bennett (Tracy) of Chester Springs; and a sister, Evelyn Hennigan (John) of Williamsport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walt Bailey; a son, Bob Bailey; and seven siblings, Richard Green, David Green, Ronald Green, Shirley Lewig, Beverly Pardoe, Betty Green and Judy Green.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Carol’s final resting place will be in Stone Heap Cemetery, Lycoming County.
