Carol Ann Fagan

January 23, 1943 — April 12, 2025

Harrisburg, PA

Carol Ann Fagan, 82, formerly of Homer City, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, while living at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Harrisburg. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Rheiner) Sposito, born on January 23, 1943, in Barnesboro.

She was a graduate of Northern Cambria High School and then continued her education at beauty school. She worked in Homer City at the local drug store and jewelry shop, and she also spent a number of years at home raising her son.

It was never her true profession, but she cut hair out of her home for many years. Carol was a great cook and skilled baker, routinely making cookies for weddings, holidays or any special event in between. Born and raised Catholic, she was a longtime active member of the former St. Louis Church in Homer City. She thoroughly enjoyed visits from her son and his family, especially after her husband passed in the early 1990s. Though family was first, she was friendly and had special relationships with many neighbors and members of her church family. In the last few years, she would move to the Harrisburg area to be closer to her son and grandchildren. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed.

Surviving is her son, John M. Fagan of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Matthew Fagan (Jenna) of Harrisburg, Luke Fagan of Lemoyne, and Becca Fagan of Lemoyne; sister, Yvonne Sposito (Darryl) of Phoenix, AZ; niece, Dawn Mitchell of Chandler, AZ; and daughter-in-law, Ruth Rogers of Lemoyne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Fagan (d. 1993).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with a visitation hour taking place from 10:30-11:30AM that morning at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services (located directly across the street from the church). Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family in St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lucerne Mines.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making contributions in Carol's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
