Carol J. Stufft

Carol Jean (Carver) Stufft, 76, of Camp Hill, PA, went home to be with her Lord on September 18, 2017.

Born in Central City, Somerset County, PA, she was preceded in death by her father Orville in 1973 and her mother Dorothy (Gindlesperger) in 1995.

Carol was the beloved wife of Maynard R. Stufft. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this past August. In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her two daughters, Tracie Stufft of Pittsburgh, PA, and Kristin (Keith) Quesenberry of Camp Hill, PA; four grandchildren, Remy Erkel, and Ellie, Jack and Katie Quesenberry; four siblings, Patricia (Robert) Fleegle of Martinsburg, PA, Joy Calligaro of Mechanicsburg, PA, Larry Carver of Ft. Worth, TX, and Garry (Mary) Carver of York, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was happiest and most fulfilled when her home was filled with music, family and friends. Her greatest delight, along with Maynard, was her grandchildren. Carol was steadfast in her faith, and she touched countless others through her strength, courage and love. She led women’s bible studies at Camp Hill United Methodist Church for 17 years.

Carol received her Registered Nurse diploma from Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown and worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was a founding member of Hospice of Central PA in the late 1970s.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Carol’s memorial service on Friday, September 22 at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 at 11 am. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening, September 21, from 5 – 7 pm and Friday morning from 10 – 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Carol’s memory to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania,1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 S. 22nd Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
