Caryl Joann Cable

Caryl Joann Cable, 86, of Lewisberry, PA, quietly passed May 4, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

She was born in Richland Township, Cambria Country, October 22, 1934 to the late William D Wire, Jr. and G. Pauline (Helman) Wire. Caryl graduated from Richland High School, Class of 1952 and Hagerstown Medical Secretarial School. She was married to Attorney Robert L. Cable on February 16, 1957 in Geistown, PA.

Caryl enjoyed travel throughout the 50 States, most of Canada and cruising the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico with her husband. Her hobbies included oil painting, chair caning, flower arranging, and gardening. She served for 25 years as President of the Redland Senior Center; was a charter member and President of the Redland Woman’s Club; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Harrisburg Chapter.

She is survived by her husband Robert, and children: Lori Eichelberger (Kevin) of Merritt Island, FL; Robert L. Cable, Jr. of Mesa, AZ; Douglas Cable (Melanie) of Columbia, MD; Gregory Cable (Kay) of Mobile, AL; Susan Waller of Lewisberry, PA; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Patsy (Koch) Wire and Peggy Wire, both of Columbus, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers William D. Wire, Donald C. Wire, and sister-in-law Sally (Murty) Wire.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, May 10, 2021 in Wyndamere Heights E. C. Church at the address below.

Burial will be in Fishertown Cemetery at the convenience of family.
