Catherine L. Boyer

Catherine L. Boyer, 72, of New Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg Hospital. Born on July 10, 1948 in Ellsworth, PA (Washington County), she was the daughter of the late Edward N. and Ruth M. (Feevey) Keegan.

Cathy grew up in Western PA, but as a military wife, moved quite a bit from there. She and her husband, Paul, lived all over the country, and even spent time in Germany and Panama. Perhaps this led to Cathy’s love of travel, as she and her sisters took many trips together over the years – Ireland being their favorite destination. She retired as a warehouse technician from the former New Cumberland Army Depot after many years of employment. Cathy’s real pride and joy were her family, and retirement allowed her to be with them even more. She helped to raise her grandchildren, and she treasured the time she was able to spend with them.

Cathy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul E. Boyer; children, Michelle L. Mohnshine and Paul R. Boyer; grandchildren, Courtney Holmes and Heather Holmes; sisters, Karen Trump and Audrey Weist; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings.

A public viewing will be held from 12PM until 1PM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. A graveside service will take place immediately following the viewing at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
