Catherine G. McCleaf

Catherine G. McCleaf, 77, of Newville, died Saturday, June 24, 2023, at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle.

She retired as a Data Entry Clerk for the West Shore District, was a former Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed reading and playing the slots and spending time with her grandchildren.

Born in Harrisburg on April 15, 1946, in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Frederick S. and Catherine (Knoll) Payne. She was the widow of Richard C. McCleaf and was also preceded in death by a son, William C. H. McCleaf, daughter in law Nan(Sellars) McCleaf and a brother, Robert W. Payne

Surviving are her daughter, Heather Ann McCleaf-Royle and husband, Robert, of New Cumberland; stepsons, Shawn R. McCleaf of Lemoyne and Shane R. McCleaf of New Cumberland; her seven grandchildren Baby boy McCleaf, Sarah(McCleaf)Toohey, Andrew McCleaf, Noah McCleaf, Nicholas Royle, Zander Royle, McKenzie Royle and one great grandson, Atlas McCleaf; a brother and sisters, Frederick K. Payne of Gardners, Annette L. Steele of Wilmington, NC, and Carol E. Little of Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews.
