Catherine Marie Yeomans

Catherine Marie Yeomans, 90, formerly of Camp Hill, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in Artis Senior Living of West Shore, Lemoyne.

She graduated from Dunmore High School, Dunmore, PA and the Felt and Tarrant Comptometer and Business School, Scranton, PA.  Catherine went on to be hired by the Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad and worked in their accounting office where she met her future husband, Homer “Bucky” Yeomans.

After their marriage on April 16, 1955, Catherine and Bucky moved to Camp Hill where Bucky was hired by the Quaker Oats Company, Shiremanstown.  Catherine was a homemaker and raised three children, Lucy, Anthony and Michael while Bucky worked.  While raising the children, she took the time to become an Avon sales associate, room mother, girl scout cookie chairperson and lunch lady at the Allen Junior High School in the West Shore School District.  Additionally, she was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg.

Catherine was hired by the IBM Corporation in 1975 after the children were older and worked her way up into the accounting office by taking HACC and IBM accounting courses.  She went on to become a Senior Accountant at IBM until her retirement in 1991.

She was a wonderful travel planner and made many trips to Ocean City, MD and Disney World.  Catherine and Bucky often included their children and grandchildren in their travels and these included their summer beach vacations to which everyone involved looked forward.  Love of family and frequent get-togethers are memories that will forever be cherished and treasured.

Catherine was born in Dunmore, Lackawanna County, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Lucy (Telesca) Coviello.  In addition to the passing of her parents, she was the widow of Homer “Bucky” Yeomans and was preceded in death by a brother Anthony Coviello.

Catherine is survived by her three children, Lucy Harman (David IV) of Camp Hill, Anthony Yeomans (Linda) of Carlisle and Michael Yeomans (Karen) of Camp Hill; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, David V, Laura, Keith and Matthew; and great grandchildren, Elijah, Miles, Leah, Anna, David (VI), Everett and Cooper.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the excellent, professional and compassionate care given to Catherine by the staff of Artis of West Shore and later under the watchful eye of Hospice for All Seasons.  Knowing that she was in such loving, capable hands made this journey a little easier to travel.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Catherine’s memory to : New Hope Ministries, 6 N 2nd Street Dillsburg Pa , 17019
