Charles E. "Bud" Shade

Charles E. "Bud" Shade, 63, of Fairview Twp., Lewisberry, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at his home.

He was an Industrial Equipment Mechanic for DLA Distribution Susquehanna for 13 years; a former metal fabricator and painter for L. B. Smith, Inc., Lemoyne, for 25 years; a life member of V.F.W. Post 148, Harrisburg; a member of V.F.W. Post 537, Etters. Bud enjoyed Sprint Car Racing, NASCAR, other auto racing events and enjoyed the outdoors. Born in Harrisburg on November 17, 1954, he was the son of the late Kenneth W. and Bernice E. (Rudy) Shade.

Surviving are two sons, Charles E., II of Casselberry, FL, and Justin W. of Mechanicsburg; two brothers and their wives, Ken W. and Christine L. of Etters, and Robert A. and Amy C. of Anaheim, CA; a niece, April L. Swintosky and husband, Jon; two great nephews, Owen and Stanley, and a great niece, Anna.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with Pastor Dawn Spangler officiating. Committal service will be private at the convenience of the family.

Visitation will be held 5 – 7 PM Friday in the funeral home.
