Charles E. Cassel

Charles E. Cassel, 85, of Newberry Twp., York Haven, died Sunday, October 11th, 2015 at his home.
He retired as an Inspector for the former Mechanicsburg Naval Depot and was an Army veteran. Charles was a member of A.A.R.P., N.A.R.F.E. and the N.R.A. He enjoyed woodworking, flea markets, public sales and traveling. Born in Newberry Twp. on November 14th, 1929, he was the son of the late Theodore W. and Almeda A. (Updegraff) Cassel.
Surviving are his wife, Shelby J. (Johnson) Cassel; two sons, Terry E. Cassel (Wanda) of Oxford; Charles M. Cassel (Mariellen) of Newberry Twp.; three daughters, Debra L. Cash (Wayne) of Fredericksburg, VA, Patricia A. Myers of Rochester, NY, and Melinda J. Gochenaur (Gary) of Mechanicsburg; a sister, Phyllis Herman, Newberry Twp.; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Private burial will be held in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp.
