Charles L. Simpson

Charles L. Simpson, 94, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., formerly of Wormleysburg, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
Known fondly as Pop-Pop to family, Charles loved nothing more than boasting about his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Charles was born on June 29, 1919 and was raised by his mother Dolletta and Uncle, Howard Kinsey. The oldest of three, Charles was big brother to Russel and Joyce.
A Veteran of WWII, Charles was stationed in Tucson, AZ as part of the Army Air Corps. While stationed, he met the love of his life Edissa Cervantes. After marrying, they established roots in Pennsylvania and had four children.
He was the proud owner of Charles Furriers for 75 years and was one of the last Master Furriers in the area.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Edissa and brother Russell. Pop-Pop is survived by his sister Joyce Arnold of Harrisburg; two sons, Charles Simpson, Jr. (Denise) of Fairview Twp. and Russell Simpson of San Francisco; two daughters, Sandra Linduska (Paul) of Chesterfield, VA and Pamela Amende (Kurt) of Wormleysburg; nine grandkids, Shelby (Jeff), Chris (Casey), Amber (Dustin), Paul aka Frankie (Amy), Phillip aka Charlie (Rachel), Stacey aka Marie (Sam), Kristine, Kimberly, and Allison; 6 great-grandkids, Josie, Morgan, Olivia, Alaina, Sydney, and Lauren.
Visitation will be held from 1pm until Memorial services at 2pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
