Charles R. Stailey, Sr.

Charles R. “Chuck” Stailey, Sr., 64, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., a native of Lewistown, died Friday at Lebanon VA Medical Center.
A 1967 graduate of Lewistown High School, he was an Army, Air Force National Guard, and Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was retired from the United States Postal Service and previously worked at the former New Cumberland Army Depot. He was a life member of VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland, a member of American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland and VFW Post 7530, Lower Allen Twp. He enjoyed going on many vacations which he and his wife took over the past twenty-seven years.
He was born July 14, 1949 in Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Lucille Rupert Cowher and newborn son, David Allen Stailey.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Fettro Stailey; a son, Charles R. Stailey, Jr. (Tammy) of Roaring Spring; a daughter, Michelle Stailey of Huntington; six brothers, Thomas, Ernest, John, Joseph, Scott, and Richard Cowher; five sisters, Patricia Scott, Sandra Laxton, Margaret Siminetti, Tena and Cindy Cowher all from the Syracues, NY Region; seven step brothers and step sisters, Cathy, Keitha, Cindy, Sunny, Larry, Billy, and Freddy Stailey; and five grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at 10am followed by funeral services at 11am Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial with military honors will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery.
