Connie R. Engle

Connie R. (Rinehart) Carney Engle, 82, of New Cumberland, PA, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp., PA.
She was a 1953 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Parkersburg, WV, and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, New Cumberland, PA. Connie loved to feed and watch the birds, enjoyed gardening, and she had a deep seated faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.
Born on January 26, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Woodford R. and Wanda (Riddle) Rinehart. Connie was the widow of Paul L. Carney and Paul I. Engle. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Nelson Rinehart.
Surviving are five sons, Gregory D. Carney (Donna) of York, Michael L. Carney (DellaBeth) of Clovis, NM, Patrick M. Carney (Judy) of New Cumberland, James D. Carney (Laura) of Front Royal, VA, and Robert E. Carney of Pottstown; a daughter, Pamela J. Gaul (Dale Mateer) of New Cumberland; a brother, Ronnie R. Rinehart of Parkersburg; three sisters, Sarah V. Barker of Davisville, WV, Charlotte F. Gregg of Grafton, OH, and Carolyn M. Stalnaker of Parkersburg; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be held 6 – 7 PM on Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, New Cumberland, with the funeral service immediately following at 7 PM with Pastor Rob Kazee officiating. Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday at Rockland Cemetery, Rockland, OH, with Pastor Judy Carney officiating at the grave side service. Grave side services will be under the direction of Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV.
