Constance Louise Anderson, 75, originally of Bedford and then Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Edgar and Ethel Emma Rebecca (Nave) Anderson, born on February 4, 1946.
Connie grew up in Bedford until relocating to Honey Brook with her family. She graduated in 1964 from Twin Valley High School in Elverson, PA. She worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Unemployment Compensation Referee’s Office, starting in the Coatesville branch, and then Malvern, before retiring as a senior clerk typist at the Reading branch. Living in Honey Brook for most of her life, she was a member of both the Wawassan Post Home Association and American Legion Post 422 as well as a lifetime member of the Honey Brook Fire Co. and the Ladies Auxiliary, where she acted as treasurer for many years. She offered her skills each year on behalf of the Fire Company making the chicken corn soup they sold at the annual carnival.
Fourteen years ago Connie moved to Etters, where she would live with her daughter and family for the remainder of her life. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like reading mystery or romance novels or working on logic puzzles, but nothing brought a smile to her face like her family. Her granddaughter especially cherished these final years, not only because she was the subject of constant doting, but because of the quality time spent together. Connie’s sweet and loving way will be missed by friends and family.
Surviving Connie is her daughter, Patricia A. Buffington (husband, John III) of Etters; a grandchild, Zoe Q. Buffington of Etters, and John’s son, Logan B. Buffington of Linglestown; two brothers, Gary Anderson of East Earl and R. Carl Anderson (wife, Kim) of Denver; sister, Janis Rambo (husband, Ronald) of Coatesville; nephews Tyler Anderson (wife Elizabeth) of Green Hills and Zac Rambo of Coastesville; and nieces Carmen Disanto of Narvon, Teresa Anderson of Camp Hill, and Becca Rambo of Coatesville. In additional to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Jane Anderson.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
