CURTIS EUGENE NISSLY (57) of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
He was born in Upland, California on January 4, 1966 and raised in Africa (Kenya and Zambia) where he graduated from Rift Valley Academy in 1985. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) in 1985. After serving his country in the USMC, he went to work for American Airlines where he remained employed for 31 years. Curtis loved race cars, racing cars, and spending time at the Bradenton Raceways with his friends.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Melissa Nissly; stepchildren whom he loved dearly and considered as his own, Dallas Atkinson of Spring Hill, Florida, Mario Jurgensen of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Leo Garcia of Homassa, Florida, Bridgette Rodriguez of Spring Hill, Florida, and Brandy Jurgensen of Spring Hill, Florida; and step-grandchildren, Melody Rodriguez Gonzales of Spring Hill, Florida, Teresa Raposa of Spring Hill, Florida, Haisley Jurgensen of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and Hunter Jurgenson of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He is also survived by his mother, Violet Nissly of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; brothers, Wayne (Karen) of Severn, Maryland and Ryan (Lori) of Lemoyne, Pennsylvania; and sisters, Cheri Small (Roy) of Waconia, Minnesota and Kimberly Henderson (Timothy) of York Haven, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Curtis R. Nissly, and brother, Carl Nissly.
Celebration of Life services will be held at Grantham Memorial Park, Grantham, Pennsylvania November 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
