Curtis Q. Umpleby, III, 82, formerly of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 10, 2024 in Carlisle, PA. Curtis was born in New Cumberland, PA to the late Curtis Q. Umpleby, Jr. and Glenwyn (Bell) Umpleby. He was a Computer Programmer with United Telephone, a member of the Turnpike Ramblers Motorcycle Club in Carlisle and he loved to travel, especially by cruise. He was an avid golfer in his earlier years, prompting his hobby of making custom golf clubs under the name, Curt's Custom Clubs.
Curt is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Penelope "Penny" (Fulton) Umpleby; daughters, Jill (Jeff) Cesarz of Kernersville, North Carolina, and Judy (Jeff) Decker of Hummelstown, PA; son, Jason (Jennifer) Umpleby of Carlisle, PA; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Umpleby, Heather Umpleby, Danielle Traylor, Zoe Chadwick, Dylan Cesarz, Christopher Toevs, Mitchell Toevs, and Marcus Toevs, two great-grandsons and one great-grandchild is on the way. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his sister, Caryl Yohe.
Visitation will be held at 12pm followed by a memorial service at 1pm on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Parthemore Funeral Home in New Cumberland. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, in Camp Hill.
