Dawn Lynn Smith

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Lynn Smith, who left this world on February 23, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on October 17, 1974, in Harrisburg, PA, Dawn was a cherished daughter, beloved sister, devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She resided in East Berlin, PA.

Dawn dedicated her professional life to serving the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Employees Retirement System where she held the position of Director of Operations. Her tireless work ethic and commitment to public service earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Dawn found joy in many aspects of life. She loved to travel and created lasting memories during her adventures. She had a fondness for the thrill of casinos, and most importantly, she cherished every moment spent with her family. Dawn is survived by her loving spouse, Troy Allen Smith; her daughter, Brittany Nicole Spotts of New Cumberland; her son, Christopher Jacob Spotts of Enola; her stepdaughter, Amber Michelle Clouser (Brock) of Hanover; her step-son, Curtis Joseph Smith of New Oxford; her precious grandchildren, Capree Spotts and Dexter Langley; and her sister, Kendra Courtney of Enola. Each one of them carries a piece of her spirit in their hearts. 

Dawn's life will be honored with a public viewing at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 5 to 7PM, followed by a funeral service on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM. A private, family committal service will be held at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.

Though our hearts ache from the loss of Dawn, we will forever remember her warmth, laughter, and the love she shared with everyone around her. May she rest in peace and may her legacy of kindness and joy live on through those who loved her. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Spotts and Donna Sherk.
