Dean E. Lebo, 80, of Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg died Friday at the Village. He retired in 1998 from UGI with 43 years of service as a Customer Service Supervisor..
A 1954 graduate of the former William Penn High School, he was a member of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Kingstown; Golden Embers UGI Retirement Group; and UGI Quarter Century Club. His family was the most important thing in his life, but he also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, golf, model trains and baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. Many may remember Dean as the chairman for many years of the annual Apple Festival at his church and the coach of various little league baseball teams.
He was born April 9, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late George Washington and Minerva Rose (Ewing) Lebo.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores A. (Dolbin) Lebo; two sons, David R. (Marjorie) of New Cumberland and Daniel B. (Jacquelyn, deceased) of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Karlee E., Joshua D., Zachary D., Matthew D. Lebo; nephew, Thomas Reinhold; and niece Suzanne Reinhold. He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Reinhold.
Viewing will be from 10 am until funeral services at 11am Wednesday at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Kingstown. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
